Thanks to some research by Mark Moore, we now know this as the Campbell Block (1888) and  built as a series of Mechanics’ institutes throughout the city with lending libraries and reading rooms.

    Any history on what this building was ? Maybe a hotel ? I was shown a large room on the 3rd floor that could have been a small dance hall type room, when we filmed ‘Narc’ in the building.

      I know it’s NOT the Town Hall. That’s at the corner of Dundas and Pacific.
