Some things to note are:
The location of St Helen’s, on the south side of Dundas.
The ‘laneway’ looks like a road. There are no houses west of St Clarens.
Shirley St. is to the east of Mabel St. & look like 2 distinct roads of differing width.
The school has not yet been built on Mabel St.
Beaty Avenue hasn’t been built yet, and most of that part of the area seems untenanted. There’s a grand old house on Beaty today that’s build at an angle to the street – I’m sure it must have been accessed from King and Queen by a private road before Beaty was surveyed through in a straight line.

I am mistaking Lansdowne for the ‘laneway’.

Lansdowne was still called Jameson at this point. Also note that Sorauren is Poplar Ave.

I had a good look at this and none of the buildings are indicated. A little disappointing.
