What's the Future Ever Done for Me?

Lost Parkdale

Looking east along Queen from Roncesvalles sometime in the late sixties. Note the Centennial sticker on the trash can.

Great shot. I always love seeing the vehicles in these historic shots. About a quarter-century after this was taken, the building on the right (with the cream trim) served as my re-entry point back into Toronto. Our 4th floor bedroom window looked out onto Queen. By that time there were mostly junky antique shops on the north side and not much else. It had yet to transition into something more clearly gentrified, as it is today. Great area though and I really have a soft spot for Parkdale.
