What's the Future Ever Done for Me?

B.B. Smith and Sons/Then and Now

97170905When I was a driver for Shinerizing Fur cleaning in 1980 or so, I used to make regular deliveries and pick ups at this place. They dealt with a lot of horse hides and had a big bin of them in the alley to the right. This place didn’t smell very good….

I’m thrilled to see the old photo of B.B. Smith & Son! I worked there in the office for Gordon Smith from 1979 to 1981 when I was in my early 20’s. Yes the odour was bad but it was an interesting place! Lots of good memories.

    • We would have met back then. I was a driver for Shinerizing for a short time and would make deliveries there.

That’s interesting! Nice to meet you again. I was just talking to my sister last night about B.B. Smith & Son and we were wondering if it was still there and that’s when I came upon this site with the photo. It’s a small world! (I didn’t see my comments appearing so that’s why they’re repeated LOL)
