Yonge and Dundas/Then and Now

An old house on Wilton Avenue (Dundas), just east of Yonge, 1914.

Wilton Ave. dead ended at Yonge Street but with the introduction of the car traffic was not flowing as well as it should.

This building on the N/E corner of Dundas and Victoria may have had the facade rebuilt to accommodate the new road alignment.

  2. I’ve always wondered why Dundas had the little jog in it just east of Yonge, since the standard street design would be strictly grid-like. Mystery solved. Thanks for this.
